Privacy Policy

When you scan a receipt, the image is sent to Anthropic's API for processing. We do not store the image or its contents on our servers. Anthropic may retain data in accordance with their own Privacy Policy.

We set one small cookie to enforce a daily scan limit. Everything else you enter — items, people, tips, pay handles, recent groups — lives only in your browser's local storage on your device. None of it is transmitted to us.

We use one HttpOnly cookie:

• tab_limit — a signed counter used to enforce the daily scan limit. Expires after 2 days.

This cookie is strictly functional and contains no personal information. You can clear it at any time through your browser settings.

To keep the app usable across visits, TabSlicer stores the following in your browser's local storage:

• tabslicer_session — your in-progress bill (items, people, tax/tip/fees, pay handle) so it survives a refresh.
• tabslicer_recent_groups — up to 8 recent groups of people you've split with, so you can pick them again quickly.
• tabslicer_recent_payments — up to 5 recent pay handles you've saved.
• tabslicer_recent_tabs — up to 5 recent completed bills, so you can reopen a past split without needing the share link.

All of this data lives on your device only. It is never transmitted to our servers or to Anthropic. Clearing your browser's site data for TabSlicer removes it completely. Tapping Start over in the app clears the in-progress bill.

Receipt images are used solely to extract line items, tax, and tip for the purpose of splitting the bill. We do not sell, share, or use your data for any other purpose.

TabSlicer uses the Anthropic API to analyse receipt images. By using this service you also agree to Anthropic's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

Share links you copy from TabSlicer are shortened through is.gd. Only the long TabSlicer URL is sent to that service; no other data is included.

We do not store receipt images or extracted data on our servers. The cookie and local-storage entries described above live only in your browser; the cookie expires automatically, and you can clear the local-storage entries at any time.

Since we hold no personal data on our servers, there is nothing to request deletion of. To remove all local data, clear TabSlicer's cookies and site data in your browser (or Storage in the browser's dev tools).
